Happy New Year!
As many of you know, I choose a word of the year to set my intentions instead of doing New Year’s resolutions. This year was a challenging one for me because of my liberal values and the political situation here in the United States. I’m usually full of boundless optimism (especially at the start of the academic and calendar years). This year, not so much. And yet, I didn’t want to choose a word that would leave me feeling stuck or negative (so resist, slay and warrior were all dismissed). I came around to “champion” – the verb, not the noun (though, if at year’s end, I feel like “a” champion, all the better!)
I love that the verb “champion” can apply to my work with clients and to my political activism. It marries well with my particular blend of learning, doing and profiting too.
As we enter the new year, I have a few workshops available to help small business owners to Learn it. Do it. Profit! Coming up first is a Facebook Advertising series where you’ll learn to plan, create and analyze your campaign so it has the impact you need. Later in January, we’re reprising the Marketing Mojo workshop in a full-day format so you can get your puzzle put together for a successful 2017!
